The Teaching Lodge is a sacred place where ceremony, prayer and social events take place. Made of maple saplings, the lodge is 20 feet wide and 60 feet long with a sacred fire pit in the middle. Traditionally covered with large sheets of bark, ours is covered with a single blue tarp.
The Lodge is a place where the First Nation community comes together when in need of any kind of ‘spiritual recharge’. Tobacco is offered to the sacred fire within the lodge by those seeking knowledge or healing.
The FNCT Teaching Lodge is the central location for all educational tours*.
