Sample of a Basic Tour Package

Your group will learn about Ojibway culture from within a Teaching Lodge on the First Nation of Chippewas of Georgina Island. You will be given the opportunity to learn about and visit the sweat lodge, sugar shack and wigwam while travelling Ziizbaakdikan Miikaan (Sugar Bush Trails).

Tour guide Jacob Charles will welcome you with a traditional Welcoming song on the hand-drum and you will be given the opportunity to participate in a smudge and Eagle feather introductions.

Continuing with story-telling with sample artifacts and sacred items such as: regalia, sacred pipe, traditional medicines (tobacco, sage, cedar, sweetgrass), eagle whistle, eagle feather, arts and crafts (beadwork, quill box, painting).

Questions are encouraged throughout your visit and answered in an unbiased/non-judgmental way. FNCT holds a strict “no question is a stupid question” policy; So, ask away!
